Hardware Requirements

Minimum Hardware requirements for the KITRET software package is as under :-

• PC/AT - 286 or higher. (a 486 machine is recommended for speedy operation).
• 350KB of Free Main Memory. Total 4 MB Main Memory is recommended.
• A Hard Disk Drive (1 GB is recommended).
• Either 1.2 MB (5-1/4") or 1.44 MB (3-1/2") Floppy drive.
• 80 Column or 132 column dot matrix printer.
• Laser or InjectPrinters are also Supported.

Software Requirement

Minimum software required for running the KITRET software package is as under :-

• MS DOS version 5.0 or above.
• Following optional softwares may require for the efficient working of the package.
  • Compression software PKZIP.EXE and PKUNZIP.EXE (Dos Based).
  • Extended memory management softwares line HIMEM.SYS, EMM386.EXE etc.

Though KITRET is a DOS based package, it works very well in Windows Operating System too. And, the printing on the Windows Specific Printers is also possible.
